My Comment:
Hi
I have looked a little more on the food you are using.
The first ingredient listed is rice followed by meat meal based on lam, then followed by more grain.....
If you add up the ingredients listed and see the amount of carbohydrates, its around 40 percent.
Thats quite a lot. Main ingredients is grain so you should after another grain based brand.
The fat source is fat from lam and when the species is listed its a sign of better quality.
Is this the only food he can eat or have you tried others?
What kind of skin problems does he have, allergy or …
I'll think you live in England.
Try to see your local vet and he probably have Specific – this is grain based food as well but is reasonable priced being a better quality dog food sold only from the vets.
I am confident you can find some he like and can handle as well.
It would be nice to find a food which is cheep buying and last long. I am afraid thats not possible to find.
You have to find a balance and try to calculate the cost per day. That often tell a lot more than just looking on the price when you buy the bag.
I did thought of Oliver Dog Food which is a bit cheaper here in Sweden but looking on the price in UK I find it the same as James Wellbelowed.....
I have to admit it very difficult for me to give any specific advice how you can find a better priced dog food.
If you can find some brands which you find interesting you are very welcome to mail me again and I can help you judging there quality.
That might be the best solution and I would be very happy if I can help you in this way.
All the best and thank you for your mail
