Heartguard

by Danny Seymore
(Heber Springs, Arkansas)

Ok, I have had my puppy on heartguard since he was 14 weeks old. Now I have been told that down south the mosquitoes or their parasites they transfer to a dog have become immune to all five top heartworm medications. Have you heard anything about this?

My Comment:

Hi Danny

I am very happy, that heart worm problem in my location is none. I do not have any experience in this field at all.

But, in general insects always try to by pass our defense.

I would not be any surprised if there is a immunity problem. But, as mentioned before - i am of no good here.

A local vet would be of better help.

Sorry

All the best
