High Protein Dog Food

Hello,

My name is Jessica and I was just wondering if you could give me some advice regarding dog food. I have a Siberian Husky who is about 1 year and 4 months, and I am currently giving him Orijen the Regional Red food/diet. My dog is somewhat active we take him on at least 2 walks a day and we also bring him to daycare (1 once a week) to play with other dogs and they also bring him on long walk. My dog weighs about 52 lbs, now would this Orijen food be a good thing to give him as the protein content is high or would it be better to give him a lower protein food. This food has about 38% crude protein. So in essence I would just like to know if this food is a good food to be feeding my dog.

Thanks,

Jessica

My Comment:

Hi Jessica

Yes Orijen is a very high quality dog food.
I think it is a dog food I think is one of the best I have seen.
Normaly I have Royal Canin, Hills and Specific for sale on my clinic (This is typical for vets)
But, working on this site I got to know Orijen.
For normal dogs I recommend highly Orijen as I like more protein i dog food.
Many dogs are struggling with obesity and I think this is to some extent due to the high levels of carbohydrates in "normal" dog food.
High protein is not a concern in normal healthy dogs and you can read more here on this site or on Orijens homepage.
As you understand I highly recommend this food.

All the best
