Homemade food

by Helen
(California)

Hello Dr.!

My little Yorkie (3 pounds) is very picky and will rarely eat, which means too low of weight and hypoglycemia issues. I have recently started making homemade food and she is eating it and show so much energy.
I am using specific recipes for dogs after much research. However, I want to make sure I am doing the right thing!
I have tried every commericial food on the market, heating food, spoon-feeding, and taking the bowl away. She just would not really eat.

So, am I doing the right thing?

What nutrients should I be conerned with?

How do I make sure she gets enough calcium?

Advice please!

My Comment:

Hi Helen

Yes this is often a problem in the small breeds.
I have one recepie which is very good and contain all the nutrients needed.
You can find it on this page:
