Portions to Feed my pup

Hi There,
I got your recipe for the puppy home made food, however the critical information that I need is, how much do I feed my cock-a-poo pup?

She's 9 months old and I've been feeding her a home made diet (not a good as the recipe you have posted) for about a month now. Because she wasn't really eating before switching her to a home made diet, I've been giving her about a cup in the morning and a cup at night. With your recipe, should I continue this amount?

Thanks so much,
Sher

My Comment:

Hi again

I think you give about right. But you remember that you give another type of diet than dry dog food.

Homemade food is not that energy dense as many of the dry dog foods.

Therefore it is not that important to give exact amount every day.

Appetite can vary.

This recipe contains lot of protein and carbs are low.

As proteins releases signal substances from the intestines going to the brain and telling it "I am full", chances are probably less that she will become overweight.

She is not growing that much now, so keep an eye on her weight of cause is always an good idear.

All the best
