Best Protein In Dog Food

Protein List and its biological value used in dog food can be use full for you to get an idea about the different protein sources used in dog food.

And as many other things in biology and nutrition, biological value depends on many other factors. It is not just the origin of the protein that decides everything.

Among the most important is the cooking.

High temperature or long cooking time have high impact on protein nutritional value. Dog food ingredients can have been processed already before they are used in the production. The production of dog food itself often demands some kind of heat and cooking.

Heat can alter the protein chain structure and they can also get in combination with carbohydrates. Both things can alter the digestion.

Biological value can also be different from species to species.

Often the standard method to calculate biological value of proteins to use chickens, pigs or rats and measure their growth during a certain period.
