Water and Fluoride

by Danny Seymore
(Heber Springs, Arkansas)

Dr. Per do you think tap water has to much fluoride? Would non fluoride water be better for a small dog?Where I live we have seven natural springs at our town park. My father is 77 years old and still rides a motorcycle and gets around great. He has drank the sulpher water from 1 spring for about 40 years and swears by it.The smell is kinda strong. Do you have any thoughts about this.
My Comment:

Hi Danny

I think some tap water has too much fluoride. Not too much regarding its able to clear bacterias and virus, but so much that i would not be drinking if i some how could avoid it.

So - do you have an alternative water source?

Personaly i have a water cleaning device on my tap water, which remove all the "stuff" you don't want to drink. I can really recommend it.

I have to change filter about once a year and it is not nice to look at. So it is really showing its need.

This one removes both Flouride and "sulfurs".

Water is a very important nutrient and i will in the future write something about this.

I am not sure about the effect about fluoride in water and its possible side effects. But if any doubt, there is alternatives and you might decode its feels better to use them.

If you use a dog food containing lots of bone meal, i would not tolerate that much floruide in the water. I am not able to give any concentrations. Some sources (as you know) see flouride in dog food as a risk might causing cancer.

This is the case in humans.

If the same for dogs has still to be proven.

But, can you find alternative dog food containing less bone meal i would go for this, especially if you have floruide in the tap water as well.

All the best
